APRIL 2012

BillyJean
LaMoma had her first baby
*we named her BillyJean

We added  a New little Goat about 3 months old
*her name is Cocoa (I gotta remember her mix of Breed)


*More Okra has been planted temps are staying 55 and up at nite
planted this years patch from my own saved seeds we will see how that works

* Potatoe Patch  is  Beautiful only thing thou is Potatoe Bugs are now every where and tons of them !!not sure what to do about that mmmm.

* NEW JELLY
Tim and I picked Honey Suckles along the fence line and I made Jelly turned out Wonderful a New Taste Indeed. I plan on Harvesting as much as Possible Thrilled to add this Edible Flower Recipe to the Home.

* English Peas are coming in and they are Awesome next year I plan to plant more.

* pulling Onions for Suppers ,Salads and Sandwiches

* Ate our last cabbage from Fall Plantings:(

*lol everytime I plant I add Sunflowers

* Made a little Spinach patch with a few lettuce seeds and Chinese Cabbage to see how these might Grow here

March

March - has been a very busy month so much that I just didn't get to record -
so here is a half attempt to catch up and some new additions to the farm.

Planted a few seeds here n there
*Black Sunflowers ,
to feed goats and rabbits
*corn
*cucumbers
*habaneros
*tomatoes
*chili peppers
* green bell peppers
*red bellpeppers
*mmm I do believe there was a small carton of black peppers
*okra

will continue to plant as back allows ,boys are very busy this season!

 3/24/2012 We added a first little Black Nannie Goat(haven't named her yet)course I like to wait till she has let me pet her this takes patience:)

3/24/2012 we added our first rabbits so cute!!
but must remember they are for butchering

3 small bunnies from my brother :( one got out ,so know just 2.

they are so cute.yes some will be for loving we will seperate our freezer bunnies so I can handle it. This is my way of helping feed the family from our farm. A Blessing to compliment our garden to add our own meats.

Just had to share this video too cute and soo wondering as Blessed as I have been in training Dogs ,Beagles,Poodles and German Sheppards could I actually train a Goat ??!!! Who knows but if I click with the right baby I might give this a go :)

*Picked out our Order from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company
*purchased Potatoes 10 lbs. Red 10 lbs.White
